01 — Overview

Context

iPrice is a price comparison platform that aggregates products from multiple online retailers, enabling users to compare prices, discover deals, and shop with confidence. As competition in Southeast Asia's e-commerce market continued to grow, the product team focused on improving customer engagement, encouraging app adoption, and expanding financial service offerings to create additional value for users.

02 — Problem

The challenge

Several growth opportunities had been identified across the customer journey, and these gaps were directly impacting engagement, conversion opportunities, and long-term retention.

  • Low visibility of mobile app benefits for website visitors
  • Promotional experiences that could better capture user attention
  • Complex financing information for high-value consumer electronics
  • Inconsistent visual experiences across different user journeys
  • Opportunities to improve onboarding and feature discovery

02 — Goals

What success looked like

  • Increase mobile app downloads
  • Improve user engagement across key customer journeys
  • Create more compelling promotional experiences
  • Simplify financing information for consumer electronics
  • Improve visual consistency across the platform
  • Support business growth through user-centered design

03 — Research

How we learned

To better understand user behavior and business objectives, I collaborated with product managers, marketing teams, and fellow designers.

  • Reviewing existing customer journeys
  • Competitive analysis of regional e-commerce platforms
  • Studying mobile app growth patterns
  • Evaluating existing promotional interfaces
  • Understanding user needs around financing and purchase decisions
  • Reviewing analytics and business requirements with stakeholders
  1. Insight 01

    Users needed stronger app-install reasons

Simply presenting a download option was not enough; users responded when the value proposition was immediate and clear.

  2. Insight 02

    Promotions needed better visibility

Well-designed promotional experiences could improve engagement without disrupting browsing flow.

  3. Insight 03

    Financing decisions required clarity

Users purchasing higher-value products benefited from transparent loan option explanations.

  4. Insight 04

    Consistency builds trust

A consistent visual language across touchpoints improved confidence and reduced user friction.
